Overview
40+ years senior marketing experience in large and small manufacturing , consultancy and software businesses, in roles operating at or near to Director level. Early career in direct sales (technical products for process/ chemical industries in international markets) and marketing (high tech electronic equipment and advanced materials) for GEC, SI and Courtaulds. 7+ years in software marketing (ERP, Supply Chain, APS, Financials, eBusiness across multiple hardware platforms (OS400/ UNIX/ NT). BPCS, PRMS, Warehouse Boss, Baan Trito.

Experience

15 years co-owning and co-running a successful small business in the marine industry. Varied experience covering finance (especially invoice discounting), materials management and production requirements planning, customer relations etc

Prevously 8 years EMEA Marketing Director for US company's business units relating to ERP, advanced warehouse management software and eBusiness solutions (inter-operability, business intelligence, CRM etc)

9 years with KPMG as a strategy and marketing consultant, latterly as a group manager
 
Qualifications
Graduate, MBA (specialising in strategy and marketing)
Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (full member for >12 years)
Trained in Solution Selling and TAS

Professional marketeer with experience of strategic and tactical marketing across the full marketing mix (and across multiple markets)
Managed effectively budgets both small (thousands) and large (millions)
Selected and worked with external agencies (Advertising, PR, graphics designers, event organisers, stand builders, telemarketing companies, market research companies etc etc). You name it I've probably done it.
Strong PR skills (media trained) - evidence is creative coverage
